Understanding court fees
Additional court fees apply
In addition to our platform fee, the court charges a government fee for official notarisation and registration, approximately AED 1,520 for the ADGM route or AED 950 for the ADJD route. This fee is paid directly to the relevant court and is not included in our platform fee. See the full breakdown by court below.
What are court fees for?
- Document review and validation by court officials
- Official notarisation with court seal
- Registration in the court database
- Issuance of official will certificate
- Secure storage in court records
When do I pay court fees?
Court fees are paid at the time of your notarisation appointment with the relevant court. You'll receive payment instructions when booking your appointment.

How QuickWills UAE compares to other options
There is no single right answer for everyone. Here is a balanced look at the tradeoffs so you can choose what fits your circumstances. For complex circumstances, consider independent legal advice.
| Option | Best for | Tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| QuickWills UAE | UAE residents/expats who want guided online document preparation for ADGM/ADJD routes | Self-service; not legal advice; court registration remains direct |
| Lawyer-led will | Complex estates, tax/cross-border issues, or personalised legal advice | Usually higher cost and more coordination |
| DIY template | Lowest upfront cost and simple experimentation | Easy to miss UAE route, translation, signing or registration requirements |
| Doing nothing | No immediate effort | Family/assets may face court process, delays, and default rules |
| Home-country will only | Existing estate plans outside the UAE | May not be straightforward for UAE assets or UAE court processes |
| ADGM / ADJD / DIFC routes | Different eligibility, fees and signing processes | You need to choose the route that fits your circumstances |
QuickWills UAE is a self-service document-preparation platform, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice.
Frequently asked questions
Why is Arabic translation included?
UAE wills for both the ADGM and ADJD routes must be in both English and Arabic. We include Arabic translation in our platform fee to save you time and money.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We believe in complete transparency. You pay our platform fee plus the government/court registration fee for your route (ADGM or ADJD), which is paid directly to the relevant court. That's it. No annual fees, no update charges, no hidden costs.
Can I get a refund?
Contact us at support@quickwills.ae and we'll do our best to help. ADJD wills also carry our acceptance guarantee: in the rare case ADJD declines to register your will, we refund everything you paid, including the government fee if ADJD collected it and doesn't return it.
What's the difference between will types?
Estate & Guardianship covers both assets and children. Guardianship Only is for appointing guardians without asset distribution. See our guardianship will guide for how it works. Estate Only handles assets without guardianship provisions.
Will ADJD wills cost the same?
Our platform fee schedule is the same for both courts. Only the government fee differs: ADJD is AED 950 for a single will, versus approximately AED 1,520 for ADGM. The eligibility checker will point you to the route that fits your circumstances.
